The Use of Cookies and Similarly-Functioning Technology

Swan uses third-party companies to assist us with online advertisements on our site as well as others, with conducting analytics work, and with the delivery of emails on our behalf. These companies in term use cookies and other technology to collect anonymous information about you during your visits to our Sites. Said information

is then analyzed to garner insight into which online advertisements appeal most to you, which we then use to enhance our deliverables. First-party cookies are used for similar analysis, but neither these cookies or any other tools we use contain information that personally identifies you.

Social Media Information

Swan Energy, Inc. uses social media data to improve our content and extend our customers with more personalized offers. If you connect your social media profile to that of Swan Energy, Inc., you will be provided with a summary of what data is being collected. Every social network is different. The largest two we use are Facebook and Twitter. Twitter generally shares your username, basic profile and tweets you have made. Facebook provides your usernames, other basic data, posts you have made public, and items or posts you have “liked”. Additionally, Swan Energy may use your email address or other contact information to obtain publicly available social media, but we only collect information that is designated public by your choice on your Facebook and Twitter privacy settings, as discussed in our Privacy Promise.

They are also used to optimize online advertising on the Site. None of the cookies or other devices contain any personal, identifiable information about you, and when creating the advertisements, we adhere to the Self-Regulatory Principles for Online Behavioral Advertising put forward by the Digital Advertising Alliance. To gain further knowledge on the subject, you may visit. https://www.aboutads.info/choices and https://www.networkadvertising.org/choices.

You have the right to opt-out of interest-based advertising, which will result in a cookie being placed in your browser accordingly. Even if you choose to opt-out of this type of advertising, you may still receive advertisements from Swan Energy, but they will not be customized to your experience. If you clear your browser’s cookies at any point, it will remove the opt-out option and you will have to opt-out again.
